Ink-less fingerprinting and a GIP
Aug. 14th, 2003 11:26 pmWell, I'm one step closer to having the substitute teaching gig. Got my fingerprinting done today, and as soon as the background check and processing is complete, I should be good to go.
Nice surprise - they do fingerprinting with a sort of scanner now. I was expecting ink, messy messy ink, and instead there was a quick scan and the prints showed up on a computer monitor. It was cool. Plus, having a kinda cute guy hold my hands to do the whole thing was less than a hardship ;)
Also, GIP! After seeing the good news about the R&GAD DVD, I just had to make an icon for them.
Cat is not getting any better, despite meds, so it's back to the vet tomorrow morning. He had said she should start walking within several days, and it's been over a week and she still won't even put the slightest weight on it. It really sucks, and I'm not looking forward to another vet visit, especially since I have to go by myself this time.
*sigh* At least we're almost finished with the tiling. We just have some edge pieces left to do, and that shouldn't take long. Now I'm looking forward to a housewarming party :)
